Can you smell it?
Down south we have a saying, “there’s a skunk in the wood pile… I can smell it!”
That means something isn’t quite right. In fact, something’s really wrong.
Is it just me or have you also noticed… a recent flood of Internet marketers bailing out of their businesses?
I have. It ain’t pretty. Why is this happening?
I’m getting all kinds of email from gurus promoting “fire sales”, “retiring my products sales”, “going on to better things sales”… “want to focus on bigger things sales”… yada yada. Like rats on a sinking ship, (that they created with their hype), it’s every person for themselves (that’s probably the philosophy they’ve always lived by). So now it’s time to move on.
OK, I’m done bashing “GRQ” (get rich quick) guys. I love them and sometimes they make my job harder. I’ll even admit that the tsunami of promotional emails are mostly coming from their affiliates in a desperate drive to get in on the end game.
But I have to tell you that every once in awhile, I get a kick out of watching some elitist, know-it-all bull crap artist do a face plant straight into the solid ground of reality of “No one is buying my crap anymore!”.
The truth is they did it to themselves. No one is buying their BMW driving, sitting on the beach, getting the girl, anyone can do this, overnight success spiel anymore because most people have become a little more web savey and can smell a skunk from a mile away. Some Gurus are too stupid to realize this and they are fishing in an empty pond. So changing bait isn’t going to work.
My advice to these guys? Keep it real. Ditch the scams and go to work!
